Philippe Humeau, CEO at NBS System
According to you, what are the main trends and innovations in your field market?
Our market is linked to both managed hosting and e-commerce. The major trend we spot is mainly cyber security: where most websites did not used to be much affected, today most of them become targets, and many have already suffered from serious damages, both financial and regarding their brand image.
The evolution of our profession relies on innovation. We started as a hosting company and became a managed hosting provider, offering more and more services. In recent years, managed hosting companies started providing related services such as DevOps: the fact to automate the deployment of resources or programs, on one or several clouds, in a few minutes. In addition, some of them specialized by technology, but almost all of us went through hybridation, which consists in using our private clouds, or Amazon or Azure’s ones, and often in mixing them up.
Who are your current customers and which audience would you like to reach?
Our current clients are mainly retailers, brands, media and institutional companies. Most of them record between 10 and 100 million euros in turnover every year. We think that tomorrow, this target will progress more and more towards B2B, a sector that is going through a digital revolution, just like B2C 10 years ago. Our B2C experience will help us guide these actors in their processes; that is why we actively aim this market.
What motivated your decision to take part in E-Commerce Paris, a Paris Retail Week event?
Actually, we already have a presence at the E-Commerce 1 to 1 event in Monaco, and we did not plan to come to the E-Commerce Paris show because we mainly aim at major accounts. However, the positioning of the event changes and it now attracts more interesting clients for us, which led us to come back to this exhibition.
