The Jury selected 3 finalists per category, one winner per category and the overall winner.

The Jury, comprising renowned industry professionals and experts, will have to identify promising companies and innovations able to effectively provide solutions to issues faced by e-merchants, retailers and brands in general.

In deliberating, the members of the Jury based their decisions on the criteria listed below:

  • Innovative character of the presented product/service
  • Efficiency vs. service provided
  • Opportunity for the market
  • Profitability/promise with regards to initial results/projections

Laurence Paganini is CEO and Director of the Kaporal Group since 1/10/2013.

A professional in the world of fashion, retail and eCommerce, and a graduate of ESSEC, Laurence Paganini has spent most of her career in distribution, mostly working for Carrefour (1997 to 2006).

In 2006 she was appointed to head up Marionnaud, the large perfume chain, and in 2009 became CEO of a major player in distance selling in the fashion and home sector: 3 Suisses, where she successfully relaunched the brand in eCommerce and modernised it in France and the other countries in which 3 Suisses is present.

She is a member of the Strategic Committee of start-up “” and sits on the Board of Governors of ESSEC Alumni and the Maison Méditerranéenne des Métiers de la Mode.

Aurélia Barth, Digital & eCommerce Director, Castorama

Aurelia Barth, Digital & e-commerce Director with Castorama France since Jul. 2014, in charge of e-commerce, webmarketing and digital customer experience.

Passionate for retail customer experience, she started in 1999 with the start-up Rueducommerce, then joined Amazon in France, in the UK and in the US from 2003 to 2010, before leading Clarins Group e-commerce roll-out in 13 countries.

Lionel Bonniot, eCommerce Director, Jadeo Group

Lionel Bonniot

Lionel Bonniot is the eCommerce Director of Jadeo Group, Europe’s leading online seller of party supplies ( etc.). He has spent the past 12 years in digital marketing, in the entertainment and culture sector. Initially, Lionel worked in Paris for the marketing departments of the Georges Pompidou Centre and the France Loisirs Group, then joined in 2007. He participated in the international expansion of the group in Great Britain, Scandinavia and Germany then went on to assume the role of Online Marketing Director of Pixmania’s subsidiary in the Czech Republic (which he also helped to set up). A graduate of the Kedge Business School and the Vienna University of Economics (Austria), he now runs the digital marketing course at INSEEC-Lyon.

In 1983, Alexandra Bouthelier - freshly graduated from ESCP - began her career in the Prisma Presse Group, in the Advertising Department. Over the next 13 years, she successively held the positions of Head of Advertising for “Ça m’intéresse”, Head of Advertising for “Prima” magazine (1986), Deputy Director, Advertising, for “Prima” (1991) then Deputy Director, Advertising, for “Femme Actuelle”.

In 1996, she was recruited by Bonnier Publications (Mon Jardin Ma Maison, Le Journal de la Maison, Maison Bricolages, Saveurs) as Sales Director, Advertising Department, and given the task of turning around sales that had been declining for 10 years. 

In 1997, Alexandra flew off to Singapore to take up General Management of the French Chamber of Commerce. 

In 2005, Alexandra joined the Fédération du Commerce Coopératif et Associé as Executive Officer.

Audrey Chatel, Head of Direct Sales & Multichannel UX, Europ Assistance

Audrey Chatel holds the position of Head of Direct Sales & Multichannel Customer Experience in the Europ Assistance Group. With over 10 years’ experience in digital technology acquired primarily in agencies and through her experience in entrepreneurship, she joined Europ Assistance in 2010 to manage digital marketing for B2C eCommerce sites and was then put in charge of the Group’s mobile strategy. In 2014, she studied for an MBA specialising in eBusiness and Digital Marketing at the Institut Léonard de Vinci and wrote a thesis on the mobile user experience. This provided a starting point for her recently published book, UX Mobile: Keys to mobile design and content. She also works as a trainer in Mobile and Tablet Design for Stratégies Formations and in eCommerce for ISCOM.

Marie Giroud, Development Manager, ACSEL

Marie joined the ACSEL, the hub of the digital transformation in 1995 as project manager then as development manager. She accompanies the commissions and works of the ACSEL on digital transformation.
Mary was formerly a journalist and chief editor in the specialist press on new technologies and multimedia project manager.

Ghadi Hobeika, Digital Marketing & Customer Director, Fnac

Ghadi Hobeika is currently Marketing Director for Fnac where he oversees digital media, customer data, CRM and loyalty. Previously, he was CMO for Pixmania where he was leading Marketing operations in 14 European countries. He also spent five years as a consultant for Bain & Company in Paris where he participated to various strategic projects in Retail, Financial Services and Private Equity in Europe and Asia. Ghadi has an MBA from ESSEC Business School and and Bachelor degree in Economics from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. He currently lives in Paris.

Julien-Henri Maurice, Marketing Director – CMO & CDO,

Holder of an International MBA in Digital Marketing from Australia and a Master’s degree in Strategic Management from ESC in Paris, Julien-Henri Maurice has been a devotee of digital technology for 20 years.

Having begun his career in a marketing consultancy measuring customer satisfaction then progressing into customer relations at SFR, Julien-Henri quite naturally moved into eMarketing functions in agencies then with advertisers.

In 2006, he joined WAX Interactive, the SQLI Group’s integrated communication and digital marketing agency, where he was responsible for the traffic acquisition strategies of a number of brands before becoming Marketing Search Manager for Europe.

In 2008, Julien-Henri Maurice joined the TBWA\ Group, the third largest communications group in France, as Digital Media Consulting Manager in order to initiate the creation of an integrated digital agency and the digital transition of the company and its offering.

He moved to Full Performance in 2009 where he held the post of Digital Strategy and Marketing Performance Manager, and managed all the eCommerce strategies of major brands before expanding his scope of action to the Group’s strategic partnerships in 2011.

In 2013, he joined the BazarChic-MyTravelChic-NGR Group where he is currently Marketing Director. Julien-Henri is supporting the Group in its digital transformation and his remit includes strategic, operational and product innovation marketing, offline communication, partnerships and brand image, merchandising and ergonomics, traffic acquisition and monetisation, eCommerce and mCommerce, generating loyalty, CRM and BigData, and the customer experience and relationship.

Bertrand Pineau, eCommerce, Information Systems & New Technology Manager, Fevad

Bertrand Pineau holds qualifications in IT (Nantes University) and Communications (Paris VII). Since 2002 he has been responsible for new technology at FEVAD (Fédération e-commerce et Vente à distance - eCommerce and Distance Selling Federation): technology watch and organising conferences, workshops and events.

Julien Schneider, Global E-Commerce Director, Lacoste

Julien has been involved in the world of eCommerce for over 10 years, creating his first start-up in Spain in 2003. In 2007 he joined the Pixmania Group as Commercial Director, Europe. From there he headed to a mobile phone operator where he gained experience as World eCommerce Director, then moved to the Fnac group in 2012 as eCommerce & Marketing Director of its tickets activity. In 2014, he was appointed Internet & Mobile Director of the Fnac Group and runs all the group’s eCommerce sites. Julien joined the Lacoste Group as Global eCommerce Director in 2016.

Benoit Watrigant, eCommerce Director, Legrand France Group

Benoit Watrigant is 42 years old. He is the Digital and eCommerce Director at Legrand, a global specialist in electrical and digital infrastructure for buildings.

He has held a number of sales and marketing posts at Legrand, particularly in the field of user interfaces and intelligent buildings.

He is passionate about the new technologies that are currently transforming his industry and promotes the emergence of new business models: Internet of Objects, Smart Home, Smart Building, Smart City, Smart Grids etc.
