The Jury

The Jury, comprising renowned industry professionals and experts, will have to identify promising companies and innovations able to effectively provide solutions to issues faced by e-merchants, retailers and brands in general.

In deliberating, the members of the Jury will base their decisions on the following criteria:

  • Innovative character of the presented product/service
  • Efficiency vs. service provided
  • Opportunity for the market
  • Profitability/promise with regards to initial results/projections

The Jury will review the applications received and will determine the finalists and winners of the Paris Retail Awards 2018.

Alexandra Bouthelier - Jury Paris Retail Awards

Alexandra Bouthelier - Executive Officer of the Fédération du Commerce Coopératif et Associé (Federation of Cooperative and Associated Trade)

In 1983, Alexandra Bouthelier - freshly graduated from ESCP - began her career in the Prisma Presse Group, in the Advertising Department. Over the next 13 years, she successively held the positions of Head of Advertising for “Ça m’intéresse”, Head of Advertising for “Prima” magazine (1986), Deputy Director, Advertising, for “Prima” (1991) then Deputy Director, Advertising, for “Femme Actuelle”.

In 1996, she was recruited by Bonnier Publications (Mon Jardin Ma Maison, Le Journal de la Maison, Maison Bricolages, Saveurs) as Sales Director, Advertising Department, and given the task of turning around sales that had been declining for 10 years. 

In 1997, Alexandra flew off to Singapore to take up General Management of the French Chamber of Commerce. 

In 2005, Alexandra joined the Fédération du Commerce Coopératif et Associé as Executive Officer.

Frédéric Krebs - Operating Partner, Newfund

Between 2000 and 2013, Frederic was involved as COO in AlloCiné’s success, one of the most important Internet brands in France.

Subsequently, in 2013, he was named Chief Marketing Officer at Cinemas Gaumont Pathé, the leading French cinema chain with almost 50 million moviegoers a year. In 2015, he led the release of movies from the famous American studio 20th Century Fox, with box office blockbusters like The Revenant, Deadpool or Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine.

In 2018, he has joined Newfund, a 200M€ early-stage investment fund, and simultaneously he has been named at the board of Singularity University - Paris Chapter. 


Guillaume Rouby - Head of Marketing, Back Market

Eager to discover the world, Guillaume studied in Canada (HEC Montréal) and in the US (Harvard) before starting his career for a real estate pure player. Jumping quickly from corporate development/strategy to marketing, Guillaume contributes to the fast growth of the company until its acquisition by Pages Jaunes.

After 8 years and convinced by the power of the project, Guillaume joined Back Market in March 2015 to launch and structure marketing activities.

Jonathan Trepo - General Manager France, Zalando SE

Jonathan Trepo is the Country Manager France at Zalando. He is currently leading the French team in Berlin, making sure that Zalando France is setting up the right strategy to leverage its position upon French customer needs.

His responsibilities include the implementation of the strategic vision of Zalando in France - in particular on assortment, brand partnerships, marketing and specific services.

Graduate from HEC, Jonathan has previously worked as Executive Director and Business Development at The Kooples, before driving the digitisation and e-commerce activities of that same brand as Multichannels Director.

Renaud Ménérat - President, Mobile Marketing Association France

Renaud Ménérat started his career in marketing services and promotion of sales within the Promodip group. Then, he joined Arcome and then Netcom in London as a consultant to mobile operators in Europe, South America and Africa.

Since 2000 Renaud has worked in mobile marketing, successively as marketing director of Hands-on Mobile and then of the group Netsize, where he created the Netsize Guide.

Renaud is graduated of the Institut Supérieur du Commerce in Paris. Renaud is the president and founder of userADgents, created in 2008.

Xavier Faure - Cofounder of Spring Invest

Xavier Faure is a cofounder of Spring Invest, the French VC specializing in RetailTech with a two-pronged investment thesis: new ecommerce models and providers of enabling technologies to retailers.

Xavier started his career as an auditor but quickly fell in love with venture capital. After cofounding an infrastructure software startup in the Bay area, he’s been a VC investor in Paris since the early 2000s.
