African Ecommerce: Jumia's success story
Tuesday, September 19 from 3pm to 4pm
Hosted by Juliet Anammah, Chief Executive Officer of Jumia Nigeria.
An undisputed leader in African e-commerce and the first African unicorn, Jumia succeeded where the biggest failed: connecting Africans!
Created in 2012 in Nigeria by Sacha Poignonnec and Jérémy Hodara, Jumia has established itself as a leader in online sales in Africa in less than 5 years.
Boldly betting to democratize e-commerce in a complex context (developing economy, lack of infrastructures, consumer education ...), Jumia has adapted to the specificities of the market by developing a long-term strategy and investments.
Juliet Anammah will present the keys to Jumia's success and how the start-up has succeeded in becoming the "Amazon" of the African continent in such a short time.
