Guillaume Lachenal is a serial entrepreneur. A visionary, in 1997 he founded Net Work Communication, the first internet access provider in the Rhône-Alpes region, which was bought out in 2001. He took advantage of this to embark on a new entrepreneurial adventure: in 2002, he created Taptoo, a company specialising in reconditioning computer equipment.
The success does not stop there. In 2007, after an unsuccessful search for furniture on the web, he decided to combine his expertise in new technologies with his passion for design and launched Miliboo, one of the first players in the field of design furniture on the internet.
Today, with more than 2,500 products, Miliboo.com is a key player in the design and sale of contemporary furniture on the internet. Based in Annecy, Miliboo distributes in eight European countries and has launched two connected shops, the Milibootiks (Paris in 2014 and Lyon in 2017), which have totally changed the customer experience. Now omnichannel, Miliboo is adapting to changes in the home and furnishing sectors as well as to consumers' new expectations in terms of personalised and connected shopping. In 2015, the French furniture brand was listed on Euronext Growth.
In 2016, Guillaume Lachenal decided to go a step further and anticipate consumer needs. He created and launched Ekko, a connected mirror which won an Innovation Award at CES 2017 in Las Vegas. Following this initial success, he developed the Miliboo Connected subsidiary and launched the connected sofa, which also won an Innovation Award at CES 2019 and the Innovation Award at Disrupt'Night.
In 2019, Guillaume Lachenal opened a new ultra-connected 1,100 m² concept store in the heart of Paris.
